UPA Moves to Help Rebuild Clinics

On February 28, the main clinic and pharmacy of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society in Gaza was bombed, obliterating the already meager stocks of medicine and life-support equipment. Gone, too, is one of two ambulances serving tens of thousands of Palestinian refugees as well as a rehabilitation center for handicapped people.

Just days after learning that their offices in Gaza had been completely destroyed, UPA has sent emergency assistance to help PMRS rebuild its desperately needed facilities in Gaza. The UPA grant will be used to support PMRS mobile clinics, which were severely affected by the latest assaults on Gaza.

PMRS is one of the largest and most respected Palestinian nongovernmental organizations. Its medical clinics and other health services provide vital services to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.

Please check back here for updates on how this latest grant is helping PMRS continue its life-saving work in Gaza.
