The Embroidery Program is another of UPA’s development efforts that provides training and income by promoting and revitalizing a home-grown Palestinian trade. Our primary supplier, Atfaluna Society for the Deaf, offers opportunities for deaf men and women in Gaza who have never had the chance to go to school, by training them in embroidery crafts and other trades. They can take pride in preserving Palestinian culture while contributing to their family's income.
